Licensed Social Worker (LSW)

Hi there! My name is Amanda,  a licensed social worker in New Jersey. I officially became a licensed social worker in 2017 after receiving my Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University. I have a unique background that I fully believe has helped me gain the experience, knowledge and skills necessary to assist others in carving and refining their own development both emotionally and logically. I have experience working with a variety of age groups, from toddlers to the geriatric population and truly enjoy helping each individual work through their biggest worries, concerns and emotions so that they can work towards leading the life they deserve and one that they can genuinely enjoy.

I know one of the most important pieces in creating a successful therapeutic and safe space is creating a healthy and understanding relationship with all clients. Therefore, I fully believe in an individualistic approach, as I remain consciously aware that each individual is different and what might work for one will likely not work for all. In working with various individuals in and outside of the social work realm, I have experienced the variety of ways that one may internalize anxiety, worries and stressors and that every one has a different coping mechanism which may or may not be positive. I am here not to only validate your feelings but to assist you in turning these into positive and constructive thoughts with manageable feelings.

Whether you meet me in or out of work, one thing for certain is that I do my best to lead by example, and I truly care about others and how they feel both physically and emotionally. I feel as though we all continue to learn on a daily basis, regardless of age, and that helping others is not only beneficial to our clients and loved ones, but also an opportunity to grow ourselves!

The motto that I have lived by for as long as I can remember is, “if there’s a will, there’s a way,” and if you trust in me to assist you with your deepest feelings and concerns, I know we can work together to get you back in the most comfortable and desirable headspace one could want to be.
