My name is Victoria Anciano and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey. I have worked with a diversified range of clients and varying populations since 2008. I graduated with my Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2012 and am also a Nationally Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). I support clients in cultivating healthier thought patterns and behaviors. My clinical modalities are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and person-centered approaches, to help clients identify goals and develop strategies to achieve them.

I have a passion for helping people overcome obstacles and live their best lives. I offer a supportive, warm, confidential space for clients to explore their experiences and develop coping strategies. I believe in forming a strong therapeutic relationship, built on mutual respect and trust.

At an early age and as far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a “helper,” which drew me into the counseling profession. I am experienced with working with people with disabilities, ranging from youth to senior citizens. (A fun fact about me is that I can communicate fluently in American Sign Language (ASL). My experience varies from working with children, teens, adults, and families experiencing daily life stressors, navigating academic/career choices, and working on relationship and personal issues, just to name a few.

My favorite thing about being a counselor is getting to know people, hearing their stories, learning about their experiences, and then working together to find the tools that works best for them. I love getting to know clients and having that opportunity to support them and I would love the opportunity to work with you.
